Set 30 years after their whirlwind romance, Pretty Woman 2 finds Edward Lewis (Richard Gere) and Vivian Ward (Julia Roberts) living a quiet life in New York City. Edward, now semi-retired from the corporate world, spends most of his time mentoring young entrepreneurs, while Vivian, a philanthropist and founder of a women’s empowerment non-profit, balances social causes with family life. Though still deeply in love, their relationship is tested when their grown daughter, Ella (played by a rising star), begins to rebel against her sheltered upbringing.

The movie ends with a modern twist on the classic “rescue” scene — only this time, they rescue each other. Together, they unveil a new women’s center in the old neighborhood, named after Kit, who passes away in a heartfelt moment of reconciliation.
